After arriving in Lilongwe International Airport (LLW), head east to the lake.


Having traveled all the way up north, you have the option of returning directly to Lilongwe or visiting Liwonde National Park or Majete Wildlife Reserve for top-notch wildlife viewing. If you are driving back south, break the trip at one of the resort areas on the lake, inChinthechefor example.
